The Red Sox Season Could Be Over Soon

The Red Sox currently sit 5.5 games out of first place behind both the division-leading Yankees and the Tampa Bay Rays. While the next 10 games for both the next the Yankees and Rays do have a couple challenging series’ mixed in, six of them are very winnable games against crap teams.

The Red Sox, on the other hand, have a very challenging 10 game stretch approaching in which they go down to Houston for three games against the Astros. Followed up by a three-game stretch against the Indians and wrapping it up with four games against the Yankees.

Now, the Sox have been playing better as of late and could carry that momentum into Houston and win that series, but they could also fold and get their teeth kicked in. What the Sox can’t afford to do is lose all three of these series’, especially with the way the Yankees are currently taking care of business. If the Sox, and that’s a big IF, lose most of the next 10 games. The Red Sox season is OVER!

It’s a tough stretch and in baseball, anything can happen. We just need to hope the Sox take care of business and the Yankees turn into the pansies and get their faces punched in over the next 10 games. Especially since we meet face to face at the end of this 10 game stretch. Just take care of business this weekend and we should be in good shape heading into next week!
