The Rafters Pod Ep. 96: Nets Get The Sweep, Bucks Preview
The Boston Celtics Sweep the Brooklyn Nets in dominant fashion. Up next? The Milwaukee Bucks. Justin and Liam preview the Bucks series and break down their playoff performance thus far.
Break out the brooms. Coach Udoka and the Boston Celtics take care of business in a clean four game sweep of the Nets. Game Four stood as the Nets last chance at a win and it showed in their desperate level of play. Brooklyn fell behind multiple times only to even it up with the help of Scott Foster and the NBA referee crew. With Tatum fouling out early in crunch time, the game was there for the Nets taking. They couldn’t take advantage though. Kevin Durant finally showed some life against the stifling defense he had been plagued with all series ending with a 30 point double-double. This may have gone to an extended five games if Kyrie Irving had made an appearance. Instead, the prolific yet hated point guard was MIA. Only making his presence known with a few stark air-balls down the stretch of the fourth quarter.
After the loss, Irving gave his usual condescending press conference saying “There’s more to life than basketball”. After one of the most disappointing seasons for any team with such high expectations, its back to the drawing board for Brooklyn. Perhaps Irving will have a hand in that as well?
“We’re onto Milwaukee”. Up next Boston faces the defending NBA champion Milwaukee Bucks. The guys preview the upcoming series giving their predictions on series results and player performance. This series will not be as easy as the previous and both hosts know this. The Bucks are led by Giannis Anteokounmpo, equipped with a ring, two MVP’s and a secret service of NBA referees on his side.
