Who would have thought just a few weeks into the Celtics season, they would be playing the 26th overall pick in the draft 30+ minutes against an Eastern Conference contender? Well, we didn’t but now that it has were hopping aboard the Pritch Train and going along for the ride through this 72-game season. The 6’1 guard out of Oregon has been the perfect piece for the Celtics offense with Walker and Teague missing time to injuries. Showing off his shooting range, decision making, and crafty hands around the rim; Payton Pritchard has carved out a invaluable role for himself on this team in a remarkably short time. He isn’t taking over the scoring every night but hes making plays when they matter and setting up his teammates to succeed. Celtics basketball had a really good week of the season and that was highlighted by no other than Pritchard on his tour to leave a mark on the league and just maybe, make a dark horse run at Rookie of the Year.
