The Rafters Pod Ep. 108: The State Of The Celtics

The Boston Celtics start out the season scorching hot. The current state of the Boston Celtics looks unstoppable. New additions in Kristaps Porzingis and Jrue Holiday have blended with the old cast seamlessly. Payton Pritchard got a hefty paycheck in the off-season to be the teams bench scorer and he is doing just that. Averaging 7 points, 3, rebounds, and 3 assists in 20 minutes a game. Head coach Joe Mazzulla knows hes got an all-star starting lineup night in and night out. Balancing the shot distribution, personalities, and minutes on this team will not be an easy task.

The Schedule has been favorable to start the year. Less competitive opponents riddle the weekly match ups providing The new state of the Celtics a chance to mesh and learn to play as a team in low pressure games. In between battles with bottom feeders comes a game against the Miami Heat. The well coached squad who took Boston down in 7 games last season and robbed them of yet another finals appearance. Call it revenge for last season, the Boston Celtics came out shooting. A competitive game through-and-through, green teamers were able to take a sign of relief when the Celtics pulled away late in game to win handily 119-111.
