The Rafters Ep. 123: 2024 Boston Celtics Off-Season
The 2024 off-season is in full effect for the Boston Celtics. The most glorious off-season in over a decade was kicked off with a NBA Championship giving Boston the most in league history. Shortly after, the NBA Draft was under-way. From there, the Celtics locked up their core of the future. Giving Jayson Tatum and Derrick White contract extensions to keep them both in Boston for years to come. With the 30th pick in the first Round of the 2024 NBA Draft, the Boston Celtics select Baylor Scheierman. The 6’6 sharp shooter looks to come in as valuable shooting depth on one of the greatest shooting teams in NBA history. Their second round pick is no slouch either.
The Boston Celtics will be well represented in this years competition for the gold medal in Olympic Basketball. So far, Jayson Tatum, Jrue Holiday, and Derrick White are in the national battle. Rumors swirl after a Kevin Durant injury could open a spot for the Finals MVP after airing his disappointment last week.
With the 2024 Boston Celtics off-season, comes another Summer League. The Celtics loaded their Summer league roster up with regular season contributors, legacy Celtics players, and drafted talent. All this in hopes of claiming another championship, months after the most important one in franchise history.
