The Masters Picks 2022

It is the most wonderful time of the year as we are officially in the Masters territory of the year. Someone is going to get that beautiful green jacket at the end of this tournament and I for one am beyond excited to see who is going to be the winner of this tournament. After going through the odds of who could win the Masters, I have my pick for the winner of the Masters. A golfer that I think will finish in the top five and the top ten. With that being said here are my 2022 Masters picks.

Winner:

Justin Thomas +1400

Justin Thomas is looking to get his first ever green jacket this year. His best finish at the Masters was when he finished fourth back in 2020. J.T. has been pretty good so far this season, five top ten finishes including finishing in the top three twice. Thomas is looking for his first win on the tour this year and what better first win would it be than to win the green jacket at the Masters. If Thomas shoots below seventy on day one, I think he is an absolute lock to finish within the top five of this tournament. He needs to lock in and focus and the green jacket that has been eluding him so far in his young golf career will come home to Louisville with him.

Top Five:

Colin Morikawa +400

Morikawa has four top five finishes already this year on the tour. Getting him at +400 to finish within the top five is an absolute steal. In Morikawa’s two appearances at the Masters he has never finished higher than 1 under. This year I love what I’ve seen from Morikawa so far. He looked rough at the Players Championship and at the Valspar Championship as well. However, this seems like a great comeback spot for him to get a job done. That job of course is finishing in the top five for the Masters tournament.

Top Ten:

Will Zalatoris +250

Zalatoris finished in second place at the Masters last year. So far this year, Will has three top ten finishes including a second place finish at the Famer’s Insurance Open. Since that second place finish at the Famer’s Insurance Open though, he hasn’t finished higher than tied for 26th. Zalatoris had some real good moments last season at the Masters and I strongly believe that he can carry it over to this year. I don’t think he wins, but he will for sure finish inside of the top ten this season at the Masters.
