Putting my hatred for New York aside, these new jerseys are trash.
After images leaked online Wednesday, the New York Jets had a jersey reveal party (?) where they unveiled what they’ll be wearing for this upcoming season. And I’ll be the first to admit that I think these are a flaming hot pile of garbage.
I’m not really sure what it is about NFL jerseys, but recently whenever a team decides to switch up their threads I just hate it. I’ll use the Browns and Lions as more recent examples of jerseys I absolutely cannot stand:
In my opinion, Nike just hasn’t done a great job since they took over as the NFL’s official brand. The color rush jerseys have been alright, but just about every team that has changed home, away, and alternates have gotten nothing but garbage. I can’t think of a word to describe it, but they all just give off this same futuristic vibe to me I guess? If this is the direction that NFL teams are going to continue going with their jerseys, chances are I’ll be out on most of them.
