The Daily (2/23/21)
Welcome back to another edition of The Daily. Today we have four sports in which we are betting on today. We got a good slate of NBA, NHL, College Basketball and the third day of the first leg of the Champions League today. I lost a little yesterday, and I will be looking to bounce back tonight. With that being said here are my daily picks.
NBA: 1-1 (-0.1u)
Orlando -3.5 (1.12u/1u)
Orlando is 5-1 against the spread in their last six games. They take on Detroit tonight who is 1-10 straight up in their last 11 road games. Magic beat the Pistons by 9 on Sunday, and I expect more of the same from them tonight. This is my only NBA play of the night, as I don’t like any of the other lines.
CBB: 1-2 (-1.17u)
Akron ML (1.09u/1u)
The Zips are 4-1 straight up in their last five games against the University of Ohio. Ohio is a small underdog tonight and they have a 1-3 record as an underdog this season. Akron wins a close one against the Bobcats tonight.
Virginia Tech -3.5 (1.12u/1u)
Virginia Tech is 9-1 at home this season and they are also 11-2 as a favorite this year as well. They take on the Yellow Jackets who have struggled when coming to play Virginia Tech on their court. Georgia Tech is 1-8 straight up in their last nine games at Virginia Tech. Hokies roll over the Yellow Jackets tonight.
Texas -2.5 (1.12u/1u)
The Longhorns are the favorites tonight at home against Kansas. Texas is 10-4 this season as a favorite, while the Jayhawks are 1-4 as an underdog. Kansas has dominated the Big 12 for the last decade, but trust me when I tell you that Texas will be ready to play tonight. Texas blew the Jayhawks out on their home court, now they get the chance to sweep Kansas at home tonight (Hook’em).
