The Daily (1/8/21)
Welcome back to the daily, as we will take a look at today’s slate of games on the hardwood both professionally and collegiately. Friday night isn’t as good of a slate as we would like, but we are going to make it work. Tough break yesterday, time to bounce back today. With that being said here are my daily picks.
CBB:
Purdue vs Michigan State
The Purdue Boilermakers go on the road to take on the number 23rd team in the country Michigan State Spartans. Michigan State is coming off of a absolute dominating win over Rutgers, while Purdue has lost its last two games. The Spartans are a 5.5 point favorite and the big question is are the Spartans officially back? They did start off the big ten with three straight losses so are they about to go on a big run here?
We will have to wait and find out as guys like Joshua Langford and Joey Hauser are getting their legs back underneath them. They play a good Purdue team that has looked alright so far in Big Ten play. I think this number is speaking to me that the Michigan State Spartans are back and they are locked and ready to go. Purdue has also had their number as of late covering in six out of their last ten meetings. The pick is in, and the final decision is as followed.

NBA:
Washington vs Boston
The Washington Wizards are trying to salvage their slow start as they take on the Celtics are who hurting right now. Boston has a plethora of their players that are out via injuries, or have traced with Covid-19 as of late. Washington might be without Russell Westbrook as well. One bad thing for the Wizards is that Jaylen Brown and Jayson Tatum are scheduled to play tonight.
Jaylen Brown and Jayson Tatum have been big time for the Celtics so far this year and we have seen that their decision to keep both of them is working out. Now in the last 14 home games against the Wizards the Celtics are 11-2-1 against the spread. With that being said this is the easiest pick of the day.
