The Daily (1/19/21)
Welcome back to another edition of the daily. Yesterday we had a positive day and we are looking to make it two straight positive days today. The record for yesterday was 8-5 overall and we finished 3-1 in College Basketball yesterday. Three sports on the agenda tonight as we are talking, NBA, CBB, and NHL. With that being said here are my daily picks for today.
NBA:
New Orleans vs Utah
The Pelicans are on the road tonight at Utah. Utah is on fire as they have won five straight and seven out of their las ten. New Orleans on the other hand has been struggling as of late only winning once out of their last six games. So looking at it and looking at the line you would think this would be an easy cover for Utah right? Well let’s take a look at it shall we.
Utah is a 6 point favorite tonight and as a six point favorite or higher, the Jazz are 3-3 against the spread in those games. Although they have covered their last three when being a six or more point favorite, they beat teams like Detroit, Cleveland and Atlanta (they were struggling at the time). Zion and Ingram are playing and they will give the Jazz a difficult time tonight. For me personally the Jazz can’t win games night in and night out all season can they.

CBB:
Tennessee vs Florida
The Tennessee Volunteers are currently ranked number six in the country, and tonight they are on the road at Florida. This isn’t the same Florida team that we were expected as Keyontae Johnson is out for the remainder of the season do to his chest injury. Florida will also be without star guard Scottie Lewis tonight which is a huge loss for them. Now it makes me think how aren’t the Volunteers double digit favorites tonight against this team right now. Florida has injuries to two of its most important players, and yet Tennessee is only a 7 point favorite.
This doesn’t make sense to me and when things don’t make sense you know exactly what to do. In gambling when lines don’t make sense, that is when you need to play that line. So with that being said here is the play for this one.
