The Daily (1/10/21)

Welcome back to the daily, as we give you my gambling picks for the day. Another full slate of games we have today not only on the hardwood, but also the gridiron as well. Yesterday wasn’t a great day for us overall, but let us end the week on a good note shall we. With that being said here are my daily picks.

NFL:

Baltimore Ravens vs Tennessee Titans

The Baltimore Ravens are on the road at Tennessee in this wildcard matchup today. Baltimore is looking to avenge last year’s brutal divisional round loss to the Titans. Lamar Jackson and company have won their last five games in order to get into the playoffs. While Tennessee has won five out of their last seven games. Let’s look at both sides real quick before I give out my play in this one. Starting with the Ravens, this team was suppose to pick up where they left off last season, and that really wasn’t the case. As Lamar Jackson looked inconsistent at times this season, and took a real step back in my opinion. This Ravens team is still very talented and good, but they will need Lamar to be on his A game today.

Now let’s look at Tennessee who has been one of the best AFC teams in the past two seasons. Since Ryan Tannehill took over as the starting quarter back; the Titans have been fantastic. Having a reliable running back like Derrick Henry makes it a lot easier for you as the quarter back, but Tannehill stayed at the level that he did a season ago. Tennessee beat the Ravens earlier in the year as an under dog and I think we are going to see more of the same again. I just think Tennessee’s offense is too much for the Ravens defense to handle.

Picks: TEN ML (1u/1.63u), 1st TD Henry (1u/5.5u), Ryan Tannehill Any TD (1u/2.4u)

Other NFL Plays:

Chicago +10.5 (1.14u/1u)

First TD Chubb (1u/7.5u)

Cleveland +6 (1.15u/1u)

NBA:

Los Angeles Lakers vs Houston Rockets

The Los Angeles Lakers are on the road tonight against the Houston Rockets. LeBron and Anthony Davis are question marks if they will play tonight. This is going to be the scenario all season long for anybody deciding on what to do when it comes to betting the Lakers or betting against them. I am going to say that I believe LeBron doesn’t play tonight, and that Anthony Davis will play limited minutes. Will I be spot on when it comes to this diagnosis, probably not but that is what I am thinking is going to happen.

The Rockets on the other hand have their core playing tonight in Harden, Wall, and Wood. Plus with the way that the Lakers have dominated the Rockets as of late this play to me is easy. Here are some stats that you should be aware of for this game. The Lakers are 4-0 in away games this season, and Houston is 3-1 at home. Lakers are 4-1 against the spread in their last five games against Houston. 1-4 against the spread in their last five games is the Lakers and that is all I need to see to make my decision.

Pick: Rockets ML (1u/1.23u)

Other NBA Picks:

Over 222 (Chicago Clippers) (1.08u/1u)

Celtics +7 (1.09u/1u)

Warriors ML (1u/1.17u)

CBB:

Minnesota vs Iowa

The 16th ranked Minnesota Golden Gophers are on the road at number five Iowa. Iowa is looking to continue its great run in Big Ten play as they look to move to 5-1 in conference play. Their one loss came to an overtime loss to Minnesota at Minnesota on Christmas Day. Minnesota is also coming off of an embarrassing loss to Michigan earlier this week and will look to bounce back in a big way. I have been saying this about Minnesota all season long, and that is that they are a completely different team on the road then they are at home. Iowa is a 10 point favorite for a reason, and it is because of the Golden Gophers inconsistencies on the road. With that being said this is an easy play.

Pick: Iowa -10 (1.1u/1u)

Other CBB Plays:

Northern Iowa -2 (1.12u/1u)

Indiana -6.5 (1.1u/1u)

Notre Dame +7 (1.1u/1u)
