The Celtics 2017-18 Schedule is Here
After the opening night and Christmas day games were released just a week ago, the complete 2017-18 NBA schedule has finally arrived. The Celtics schedule can be found here, on their website. According to their twitter, tickets will go on sale on August 18th. Here are some of the key matchups to look forward to this season:
Celtics @ Cavaliers, Oct. 17, 8:00 PM
The C’s are back on opening night in a rematch of their ECF matchup against the Cavaliers. Will Kyrie be suited up for Cleveland this time around, or will he be traded?
Lakers @ Celtics, Nov. 8, 8:00 PM
Rookie Lonzo Ball and the rival LA Lakers are in town to take on the Celtics. Hopefully, the rivalry between these teams can renew soon, as both continue to add young talent.
Warriors @ Celtics, Nov. 16, 8:00 PM
Possible Finals matchup? The reigning champs are in town to take on the Celtics. It will also be Kevin Durant’s second time in Boston since shutting down the Celtics for GSW, but more importantly, shutting down Tom Brady.
76ers @ Celtics, Nov. 30, 7:30 PM
Number one picks Markelle Fultz and Ben Simmons make their TD Garden debuts. The Celtics trading Fultz away in favor of Jayson Tatum may put a chip on his shoulder for this matchup.
Wizards @ Celtics, Dec. 25, 5:30 PM
The first ever Christmas Day game at the TD Garden, the Celtics will take on the Wizards, who took them to game seven in the second round of the playoffs last year.
Thunder @ Celtics, Mar. 20, 8:00 PM
Paul George, who the Celtics were rumored to be in on since last year’s trade deadline, comes into town with his new team. Oh yeah, they also have reigning MVP, Russell Westbrook.
Celtics @ Jazz, Mar. 28, 9:30 PM
Gordon Hayward takes on his former Utah Jazz for the second time, but this will be his first trip back to Utah since leaving in free agency. Do people in Utah get mad? If they do, expect a ton of boos in his direction.
The Celtics have a total of 33 nationally televised games this year, which feels like a lot in comparison to the past couple years of the Brad Stevens era. Now that they’re a top 3-4 team in the league again, it comes with the territory. The world will get to see how good this team really is for more than half the year. I am HYPE for the season to start up.
