The Browns Did The Best They Could With Their New Uniforms

Another day without sports. The days are blending together, I have Cheeto cheese glued to my fingers, and my eyes are melting out of my head because of how much time I’ve spent looking at a screen. Quarantine has been great!

I know I have probably mentioned it in one of my previous posts, but it has been hard to find exciting sport news with the ongoing pandemic. Still, I do my very best when scrolling my Twitter feed to find out what is going on. And in today’s news, the Cleveland Browns have released their new uniforms.

I have previously looked at what people thought of the Los Angeles Rams new logo, and the Tampa Bay Buccaneers new uniforms. I skipped over the Atlanta Falcons’ new gear , but you can gather my thoughts on their reinvented get-ups by looking at this tweet.

I tend to favor the uniforms that are simple and refrain from going over the top.  For example, I love the Raiders silver and black, and absolutely hated almost anything Nike put together since they took over the jersey rights from Reebok.

So when it comes to the Browns new uniforms, I think they did the best job of any team this offseason. There isn’t much to go on with a color combination of brown and orange, but Cleveland was able to take their uniforms back in time to the classic look that most are accustomed to.

I’ve seen some people wondering where the actual change is, but that’s because these threads are similar to what they used to be. If you look at what the Browns wore in the last few years, you can obviously see a difference.

The now-retired uniforms looked like an attempt to make the Browns flashy: a team named the Browns can’t be flashy. They are a classic NFL team that should have as little noise on their equipment as possible, and I think these uniforms do a great job of that.
