The 2019 Clover Report: Week 10

The Boston Celtics were won of the hottest teams in basketball entering the week as they had won seven in a row. To start off, they hosted Trey Young and the Atlanta Hawks.

From the get go, the Celtics dominated the Hawks to win 129-108 and win their eighth game in a row. Kyrie Irving, Jayson Tatum, and Marcus Morris combined for 66 points and Robert Williams III blocked five shots in 16 minutes. With Al Horford still out, Williams is really shining in his abscess.

Next up, the Celtics traveled to Detroit on the second night of a back to back. Going into the game, the Pistons were on a 6 game losing streak and they came out and played like it was a must win.

They did win 113-104 to snap their losing streak and the Celtics’ winning streak. Andre Drummond finished with 19 points, 20 rebounds, and 5 blocks as he took advantage of Al Horford still being out for Boston.

The Celtics had a few days off and then finished out the week back at home against one of the worst teams in basketball in the Phoenix Suns.

Five minutes into the game, Aron Baynes broke his hand and has been ruled out for a month. The Celtics felt that blow right away as number one pick DeAndre Ayton went for 23 points and 18 rebounds as the Suns upset the Celtics 111-103.

With Al Horford still out and Aron Baynes now out for a significant amount of time, the Celtics are facing some adversity ahead. 18–12.
