Takeaways From Last Nights Celtics Win

Finally the Celtics come away with a solid win. Last night the Celtics took down the Bucks on the road by the score of 96-89. Irving is starting to look comfortable handling/contributing the rock, and I am loving every minute of it. If Irving and Horford can build on this chemistry for the rest of the season, then we will see some great things.

Everyone hates on Smart ( I do not blame you), but look it how he plays. Smart is not scared to take a shot and that is what I love about him. If he can get his offensive game going, then this kid will be one of the best players in the East. He is already a premier defender, he just needs to make a higher percentage of his shots. They only way to do this? Well he needs to continue to take the shots he is taking. Brad Stevens has 100% given Smart the green light to shoot his shot, and I agree with him. I am also 100% surprised by the way Bayens has played thus far. He is not going to explode for a bunch of points every night, but he does his job the right way. Going further into the season the Celtics are going to have to rely on Baynes more and more, and he could really help out in the playoffs.

Tatum and Brown both had average nights, but that is expected out of them. We know they are not going to play at a superstar level every single night, given how much experience they have. Having average nights like that will actually benefit them in the future because they will learn from whatever mistakes they did make.

This is a Bucks team that the Celtics are expected to beat in a seven game series, so this win should not be overly celebrated. We are still in the very beginning of the season and I want to see the C’s take on the Wizards, Raptors and the Cavaliers again before I can form a solid opinion on their play.

This season has been so strange, everyone has been defeated by somewhat weak teams I am having a tough time placing teams in the league. The Spurs are the only one that I know look great. Obviously GSW is the best but they haven’t looked that way and my lord the Cavs look suspect. Right now the east is open until Isiah comes back or the Cavs figure out whatever their issues are (defense)

I fully agree. The Celtics are going to keep up with the Wizards and Raptors as the season goes on. The Cavs are clearly on another tier than the Celtics in my opinion.

Yeah that’s what I think as well. They just need to actually play like it lol. I think the Celtics are sneaky good right now though Brad Stevens is a genius
