Start ’em Sit ’em: Week 4

Week 3 is in the books, hopefully you all listened to my Start ’em Sit ’em and won your matchup!  This week we’ve got some players set to go off, and some players who are definitely gonna flop.  Everything you need to know is right here in week 4’s Start ’em Sit ’em!

Start ’em

Quarterback

Patrick Mahomes @ Den– Mahomes has been absolutely lights out this season, throwing for 896 yards and 13 touchdowns in the first 3 weeks of the season.  If you’ve got him on your team, you’re starting this guy, no matter what the matchup is.  This week the Chiefs go to Denver for a divisional clash that is always a good game, so I’ve got Mahomes as a top 3 play this week.

Running Back

Chris Carson vs. Ari–  Carson finally took the lead back position over first round pick Rashaad Penny in the Seahawks win over Dallas last week carrying the ball 32 times.  This week the Seahawks go to Arizona for a divisional matchup that is usually a really hard fought game.  In hard fought games it’s usually the team with the better running attack to win, so I expect Carson to get a similar workload as last week.  Also worth noting that the Cardinals have allowed the most fantasy points to running backs so far this year.

Wide Receiver

Jarvis Landry @ Oak–  Landry hasn’t found the end zone this year but I think that changes this week for two reasons.  One being Baker Mayfield is now the starting quarterback for the Browns.  Two being the Raiders just allowed 4 touchdowns to wide receivers last week against Miami.

Tight End

Trey Burton vs. TB–  Burton hasn’t exactly done what was expected of him this year yet.  But if that’s going to change, it’s this week against the Bucs.  The Bucs have allowed the 2nd most fantasy points to opposing tight ends this year.  Gimme some Burton this week.

Sit ’em

Quarterback

Dak Prescott vs. Det–  Prescott hasn’t thrown for over 170 yards in a game this season and I don’t expect that to change much going against the Lions at home.  The Lions have been pretty good against the pass this year and with the way Prescott is playing he’s on my bench.

Running Back

Dion Lewis/Derrick Henry vs Phi– Lewis and Henry being in a timeshare makes it hard to start either of them, however this week it’s even more difficult.  Going against the Eagles, who have allowed the least fantasy points to opposing running backs this year, they’re both on my bench.

Wide Receiver

Quincy Enunwa @ Jax– Enunwa has been one of Darnold’s favorite targets this season, but this week he gets a really difficult matchup.  Not only is the Jags defense ranked 4th in fantasy points allowed to opposing wide receivers, but he will also draw the cover of Jalen Ramsay.  Not worth a play this week.

Tight End

George Kittle @ LAC–  Kittle had a decent outing last week catching 5 passes for 79 yards.  However with the loss of quarterback Jimmy Garoppolo, and the matchup against the Chargers who have allowed the 2nd least fantasy points to tight ends, Kittle is not a starter this week.
