#SoccerSaturdays: This week in Soccer (Champions League/Europa League) and More.

If you are a soccer fan, this has been one of the most amazing weeks for the sport with so much action taking place.

So with so much happening this week in soccer, it is only right to bring you up to speed and also what to expect. Lets begin shall we?

Champions League Update

Another week down and more to go in this tournament!

This week in Champions League Soccer, we saw some of the highest profiles in this tournament fell hard and fast. Let me bring you up to speed!

  • Paris Saint-Germain vs. Atalanta

Atalanta took PSG by surprise early in the game, leading to a very frustrating performance by Neymar Jr.

However the French side managed to pull it together and thanks to a pair of substitution, PSG came back in the final 5 minutes of the game to stunningly win 2-1. PSG moves onto the next round.

  • RB Leipzig vs. Atletico Madrid

U.S. International, Tyler Adams was impressive to say the least. The American managed to score a goal in the 88th minute, sending the Bundesliga side to the semi-finals where they will meet PSG and hope to get a spot for the finals of the Champions League.

The Bundesliga side sent a message loud and clear this week! If you are a soccer fan and betting on anything this week in soccer, they are the ones to look out for.

  • Bayern Munich vs. Barcelona

BREAKING!!! Video: Bayern Munich Discipline Messi And Barcelona 8 ...

First of all, my sincerest condolences to any Barcelona fans out there.

As a Bayern fan, this was unreal! Bayern was strong demolishing a full club and their #1 man.

Barcelona’s future is concerning. The team needs a serious summer clearance including management as well as some expensive players.

However, Philippe Coutinho showed Barcelona by putting an amazing performance that include an assist and two goals in less than 25 minutes.

  • Manchester City Vs. Lyon

A must watch today!

Whoever wins this match, will go onto face Bayern Munich in the semi-final!!!

UEFA Europa League

The stage is set and as a result will start to find out what the final of this tournament will look like.

Manchester United Vs. Sevilla

Manchester United vs Sevilla, Europa League 2020 semi-final ...

Sevilla will certainly come to play and as a fan, expect this game to be a nail-biter!

I personally predict that this game will be so close, it will definitely end at the penalty spot. As a Manchester United fan, I hope it doesn’t but I do believe the Red Devils will end up winning this one.

  • Inter Milan vs. Shaktar Donestk

Inter Milan vs. Shakhtar Donetsk Prediction and Pick (August 17, 2020)

Here is where this week in soccer could get very exciting!

Inter Milan is putting up a huge year benefiting from a few ex-Manchester United players and should they beat Shaktar, it can lead to a revenge tour!

So who are those players? None other than Romelu Lukaku, Ashley Young and Alexis Sanchez!

All of them were let go by Ole Gunnar Solksjaer as he worked to rebuild Manchester United. However, the ex-united boys have been putting up quiet a talented display this year and that final will be fully packed with drama.

I am definitely betting on a Manchester United vs. Inter Milan final. Will have to find out after this week.

So What Else is New?

The free-agency market around the soccer world is heating up quickly!

Just this week, a huge and sensational signing was announced by Premier League club, Arsenal!

Yes! Believe what you are seeing as Willian has decided to leave Stamford Bridge and join Mikel Arteta as he works on rebuilding Arsenal.

There are also scorching hot rumors running around the Premier League leading to the potential signing of Colombian International, James Rodriguez with Manchester United.

United is desperately looking for a backup plan as a deal for Jadon Sancho seems nearly impossible with Borussia Dortmund. Meanwhile, the Colombian has made it clear he is ready to leave Zinedine Zidane’s Real Madrid and start a new chapter.

Should Rodriguez decide to join the Red Devils, the midfield for Manchester United will be one of the most lethal forces to come for the Premier League.

Signing Off!

Thank you for allowing me to catch you up to speed with this week in soccer!

While 2020 may be an ugly year so far, it is great to be able to still catch you up to all the events happening around the soccer world.
