#SoccerSaturdays: 2020 Champions League Final Tomorrow!!!

The UEFA Champions League final for the 2020 season is finally here!

Ladies and gentlemen welcome back to another #SoccerSaturdays article. It is that time of the year, when the best two teams in Europe face head-to-head to win the most praised title in club competition, the Champions League title.

Lets get to know the teams and let me share with you my prediction for tomorrow’s final game! Let’s get started:

Paris St. Germain – France.

The Parisian club will be looking to win their first ever Champions League title against a very talented and dominant version of Bayern Munich. However, PSG also brings a very talented line up to tomorrow’s match up.

Possible Line-Up: Navas (Goalie), Thiago Silva, Kehrer, Kimpembe, Bernat; Verratti, Marquinhos, Herrera; Di María, Neymar, Mbappé.

The focus for the team will certainly need to be there, especially if they are looking to make history as their Captain, Thiago Silva shared in a club interview.

The team also has some big strengths that could lead to them winning this prestigious title, starting with a lethal forward core which features Neymar Jr and Kylian Mbappé. PSG also brings a very hungry young core to this match up as well some champions league finals experience too in players like Navas and Angel Di Maria.

Thomas Tuchel’s campaign has been remarkable as well as head coach. Once the French league returned to work after the pandemic, Tuchel ensured of PSG winning the French League. On top of that, PSG have gained a DNA of being one of the best European teams in 2020, and beating Bayern would remove any doubt that they deserve Best of Europe title for the year.

Bayern Munich – Germany.

As I mentioned previously, this is one of the most lethal versions of Bayern Munich in the past 5 years.

Bayern is a team this year with a lot of determination, dominance and incredible talent all around. While they do face a hungry French side tomorrow, the German side will certainly not hold back either and will look to bring their ruthless talent in their lineup.

Possible Line-Up: Neuer (Goalie); Kimmich, Boateng, Alaba, Davies; Goretzka, Thiago; Perišić, Müller, Gnabry; Lewandowski.

If you recall a couple of weeks ago, Bayern Munich is the same exact team that brought a historic upset to one of the world’s most prestigious teams, Barcelona FC. Bayern didn’t bother to hold back and ruthlessly defeated the Spanish side 8-2 in amazing fashion.

Bayern Munich is also not new to being in the finals of the Champions League. However, they are hungry to bring the title to Munich as they haven’t done so since 2013.

The German club will be seeking to join Liverpool on six European Cup wins and become the joint-third most successful club in the competition’s history behind Real Madrid (13 titles) and AC Milan (7).

The biggest threat that the Parisian club will face tomorrow is a lethal combination of midfielders Thiago, Alphonso Davies, Ivan Perišić, Serge Gnabry as well as highly dangerous Thomas Müller and Robert Lewandowski upfront, making it hard for a somewhat decent defense that PSG has at the moment.

Robert Lewandowski will be looking to make this year his highest scoring year, and will certainly look to score in this 2020 Champions League Final.

Champions League Final – Prediction?

The 2020 Champions League Final brings an incredible must-watch soccer game between two incredibly talented teams. However, one has to recognize that the Parisian team may have not been in the final if it wasn’t for a miraculous last minute run by Marquinhos and Eric Maxim Choupo-Moting to get past Italy’s Atalanta, this final would’ve very easily had been Lyon/Atalanta vs. Bayern Munich if we are being honest.

Meanwhile, Bayern Munich’s wining streak is one to be respected and one to watch out for really. The German side has shown no signs of slowing down and with the title being so closed to their hands, it is almost impossible not to think they can very well win it.

My prediction is this game will be a close one but with Bayern Munich winning the title.

I believe the scoreboard will be 4-2 with the German’s winning this 2020 Champions League Final. Don’t get me wrong, I certainly think PSG will bring it all for sure. However, as I said previously, it is impossible to deny the force that players like Lewandowski and Thiago have displayed and more so since their return to action after COVID-19.
