Rafael Devers Is Heating Up At The Right Time
The Red Sox have won 16 of their last 22 games. Everything seems to be back to normal with solid starting pitching, a sufficient bullpen, and timely hitting. One of the big names that is helping out at the plate for the Red Sox is third baseman Rafael Devers. Devers is starting to heat up at the plate and the timing could not be more perfect.
He Has Had 3 Straight Games Of 3 Or More Hits

Rafael Devers has found his swing. In the series sweep of the Seattle Mariners, he had 3 or more hits in all of those games. There was a time when people were saying that Devers could be the potential 3 hitter on the Red Sox. It looks like those people are starting to have a point there.
Only two Red Sox players since 1908 have recorded 3+ hits in 3 straight games, all at the age of 22 or younger:

His Average Is Up To .336
Yep, you read that right. Rafael Devers is hitting .336 at this current moment. Not only is he hitting for a high average, but he also is starting to find his power. He has 12 doubles on the season now with a couple of home runs as well. This kid is the real deal at the plate, (even though I HATE how long his swing is at times) and it couldn’t be better for the Red Sox.
In Conclusion
The Red Sox have needed a spark and Devers is bringing it to them. But, the main question now is will he keep up this production? Sure, he won’t get 3 hits every game. But, he should be able to continue to knock in runs on a pretty consistent basis. With the Rockies and Astros coming to town, we’ll see if Devers bat continues to show up.
