Patriots v.s. Broncos (Again)

After being rescheduled once again, the Pats will square off with the Broncos this Sunday. Things are looking positive, and tests are coming out negative which is leading to what we all want to see this weekend. Cam and Gilmore were back at practice today, and seem like they are ready to go. However, the extra week off gave the Broncos a chance to get Drew Lock healthy. However, it also gave Melvin Gordon enough time get popped driving drunk.

The offense will look so much better with Cam back and not flipping back and forth between QBs. The Broncos are still missing many pieces on defense, and Cam should have no problem running all over them. With the threat of him ready to take off at any moment, it will keep Bradley Chubb at bay. This is one of the few potential easy walk through games that they might have left. It’s the perfect game to try to get the young tight ends going. We are yet to see any real production out of Asiasi and Dalton Keene, and they could end up being the tandem they count on for years to come. This could also be a good chance to get Jakobi Meyers’ feet wet too.

The defense should have it easy, especially with the potential of no Melvin Gordon. Phillip Lindsay has barely played in the last 2 seasons, so he is going to come out a little rusty. The Pats had no problems locking down Darren Waller, so a gimpy Noah Fant should be no problem for JoeJuan Williams. Jerry Jeudy won’t stand a chance against Gilmore, and the Broncos don’t really have enough experience at receiver to make much happen against this talented secondary. It’ll take an inexperienced Drew Lock, in his first game back from a separated should to make some tough throws to win this one. That just doesn’t sound too likely.

Pats should handle this game easily and get themselves back on track and above .500. 34-14 Pats.
