Packers at Cardinals TNF: Fantasy Football Preview

It’s almost half point of the NFL season and the showdowns for Thursday Night Football get better and better. For this Thursday Night showdown, its the Packers at Cardinals matchup. One that many can see as a major sling-fest between Kyler Murray and Aaron Rodgers. However, for Fantasy Football managers, there’s some answers needed ahead of this clash. Who do you start, who to bench and who to monitor, all here!

Let’s get started.

One key component in fantasy football is going bold. While this matchup presents a tough task ahead for Aaron Rodgers who faces a decent Arizona defense, do not be alerted by that. You also shouldn’t be alerted at the fact that both Davante Adams and Allen Lazard are out this week due to COVID-19 issues. Here’s why.

Rodgers does not shy away especially in situations like this one. If anything, he will be looking to launch the ball down deep to targets like Randall Cobb, Robert Tonyan and potentially Marquez Valdes-Scantling if he returns in time for this game as currently it is a game time decision. Say MVS is out, Rodgers also counts with Equanimeous St. Brown who could be a huge underdog in this match and produce big time.

On the flipside, Kyler Murray should be an automatic start at all times. If you disagree, please simply look at his stats!

Who you should monitor!

Zach Ertz – TE Arizona Cardinals

In the case that you missed it, Zach Ertz is no longer an Eagle. He is a soaring Cardinal and boy has he debuted in quite fashion.

After starting the season in a way that many would think he was a bust, Ertz has been given a second life in Arizona. In some leagues, Ertz is likely a waiver wire option and that is one to take advantage of at this time. With Murray slinging the ball and the Cardinals now having a great TE1 option, Ertz offers a lot of value in fantasy leagues at this time and is one to certainly keep monitoring.

In fact, with Green Bay struggling to contain offensively and Murray spreading the ball around, Ertz is definitely a borderline TE1 option this week.

Bench Warmer of The Week!

Rondale Moore – Arizona Cardinals WR.

I was so high on Rondale Moore from the very beginning! However, never did I expect for the Cardinals to go after a tight end and especially that being Zach Ertz.

Arizona is currently well loaded in terms of weapons. When you look at their O-Line, you looking at these names: Hopkins, AJ Green, Christian Kirk, Zach Ertz, Andy Isabella and then there is Rondale Moore. From the get-go, Moore has been at best their #4 option when it comes to receiving options. While yes, Green Bay will be without Jaire Alexander, Rondale is still low in volume with this offense and therefore one that I would strongly suggest benching, possibly even dropping him for better waiver options.
