NFL Sunday Standouts: Week Three

Tonight week three of the NFL season concludes with the Philadelphia Eagles visiting the Dallas Cowboys. That means another Sunday has come and gone. As always, that mean there were standout players from yesterday’s action. Without further ado, let’s give praise to this week’s NFL Sunday standouts: week three!

Josh Allen quarterback Buffalo Bills

Buffalo Bills' Sean McDermott on Josh Allen: 'Smart football wins'

Josh Allen had himself a day against the Washington Football Team. Not only did Buffalo put up 43 points against a good defense, they did it with ease. Why was it easy? Josh Allen. Allen went 32-43, throwing for 358 yards and four touchdowns. He also rushed for a touchdown. There was no stopping this Bills team yesterday in their 43-21 victory. It’s safe to say Josh Allen and the Bills are not going anywhere.

Myles Garrett defensive end Cleveland Browns

The heart and soul of the Cleveland defense made quite a bit of noise yesterday. In fact, the Cleveland defense as a whole had a fantastic game against the Chicago Bears. But, Myles Garrett was leading the charge. The Cleveland defense had nine sacks yesterday against the Bears with Myles Garrett having 4.5 of them alone. Additionally, Garrett also had six solo tackles, seven combined, four tackles for loss, and six quarterback hits. The Bears had no answers for this Cleveland phenom yesterday.

Davante Adams wide receiver Green Bay Packers

The best receiver in the league had a night against the San Francisco 49ers. Aaron Rodgers needed his receiver to step up and that’s exactly what Davante Adams did. Adams had 12 receptions for 132 yards and a touchdown. He averaged 11 yards per reception. The Rodgers-Adams connection was in full force last night in this thrilling Sunday night matchup that saw Green Bay be victorious at the end. The rest of the NFL should be put on notice by this performance from Adams.

Justin Herbert quarterback Los Angeles Chargers

The last NFL Sunday standout in week three is Justin Herbert. Justin Herbert chose the right game to absolutely ball out. The Chargers pulled off the upset against the Chiefs in Kansas City thanks to Justin Herbert (and the Chargers defense and Mike Williams). Herbert went 26-38, throwing for 281 yards and four touchdowns. With Herbert leading the charge, this Chargers team should not be slept on. Herbert is a young rising star in the NFL.
