MLB Rookie Of The Year 2021 Predictions
With the MLB season right around the corner, there is no better time than now to go over predictions for the season. Tom Cadmus has been giving us his Division Predictions. You also have the High Heat Podcast which is Couch Guy’s Fantasy Baseball Podcast that has put out some incredible content on baseball. I wanted to go ahead and look towards which players I see that could win the Rookie Of The Year Award in both of the AL and NL. With that being said here are my predictions for who could win Rookie Of The Year.
AL:
Ryan Mountcastle (Baltimore)
Ryan Mountcastle is 24 years old and will look to take over the clean up spot in the Baltimore Orioles lineup for the 2021 season. Mountcastle was called up last season in late August and is still techincally a rookie. He has great pop off the bat and I think he will be a big time factor in the Orioles lineup this season. If Mountcastle can get 25-30 home runs to go along with 90-100 RBI’s; I think he has a real shot at winning AL Rookie Of The Year.
Bobby Dalbec (Boston)
Bobby Dalbec looks like he is going to be the Redsox’s starting first baseman this season. Dalbec got called up last year at the end of August, and put together a nice little run. In his first ten games he hit six home runs and had hit a home run in his first five games of his career.
He is going to be a great addition to the Redsox’s lineup and he should be a name that you look after for the entire year as a potential AL Rookie Of The Year.
Other Notable Names:
Jared Kelenic (Seattle), Wander Franco (Tampa Bay), Adley Rutschman (Baltimore), Royce Lewis (Minnesota)
Pick: Bobby Dalbec (Boston)
NL:
Ke’Bryan Hayes (Pittsburgh)
Ke’Bryan Hayes is the clear cut favorite to win the National League Rookie Of The Year. He is going to be a key part of this Pirates lineup. If Hayes can get 20-25 home runs to go along with 80-90 RBI’s, I think he will win NL Rookie Of The Year. A lot of variables will go into it of course. As of right now though Hayes is the favorite to win the award.
Dylan Carlson (St. Louis)
I won’t lie to you, I am all aboard the Dylan Carlson hype train. He just looks like he is going to be that classic talented St. Louis Cardinals outfielder that will go above and beyond this year. I am seeing Carlson hit in the 20’s for home runs and will be a big time RBI guy for the Cardinals. Especially when he’ll have guys like Paul Goldschmidt and Nolan Arenado hitting in front of him. Carlson can easily work his way up the ladder to winning NL Rookie Of The Year.
Other Notable Names:
Sixto Sanchez (Miami)
Ian Anderson (Atlanta)
Christian Pache (Atlanta)
Pick: Dylan Carlson (St. Louis)
