Mayweather Will Embarrass McGregor

We have been waiting this match for a while, and now fans all across the globe will get to see Conor McGregor and Floyd Money Mayweather go at it. The fight was scheduled yesterday for August 26, 2017 in Las Vegas. First of all, this is just a smart move by both of these men, because no matter what happens they will both be getting paid. How much will both be getting paid? Well it is estimated that both could make over $100 million!

Mayweather has a record of 49-0 and is considered the best boxer of this generation. He is coming out of retirement so he can get to a record of 50-0. I think it is a little ridiculous that McGregor believes he can actually win this fight. He is going up against one of the best boxers of all time that has not lost a fight. There is always that chance that McGregor does end up winning though. He has a mean left punch, and if he can land one to Floyd’s head then their could be trouble.

McGregor is an elite mixed martial arts fighter, but he has never boxed before at an amateur or pro level. McGregor won the UFC’s featherweight title in a 13 second knockout thriller in 2015 and he also split a pair of non-title welterweight fights with Nate Diaz before knocking out Eddie Alvarez in 2016. He became the first fighter to hold two UFC championships simultaneously.

So I want to know what everyone thinks about this matchup. Do people actually think that McGregor has a shot at winning? I can not see him winning this match because Mayweather is one of the best defensive boxers of all time. He is also 49-0 and has faced some stiff competition. On the other hand, Mayweather has been retired for a while so who knows what kind of shape he is really in or how rusty he may be. McGregor really has nothing to lose in this fight so he will be coming out guns blazing.
