Marco Hernandez Optioned To Triple A
The Red Sox are slowly starting to get all of their pieces back into place. Nathan Eovaldi made his return last night against the Rays. It looks like now that Mitch Moreland will be activated. Unfortunately, somebody else has to go. In this case, it was infielder Marco Hernandez.
Prior to tonight’s game at TB, the #RedSox returned 1B Mitch Moreland from his injury rehabilitation assignment with Triple-A Pawtucket and reinstated him from the 10-day IL.
To make room for Moreland on the 25-man roster, the club optioned INF Marco Hernández to Pawtucket.

To be honest, I’m not sure what to make of this move. Hernandez was producing and making somewhat of an impact at the Major League level. I’m sure Nick Quaglia is taking the news just fine, right Nick?
ROSTER MOVES:
In the most confusing move of the week, Marco Hernandez, who’s hitting .339 with an .859 OPS, has been optioned back to Triple-A PawtucketBut along with this move comes Mitch Moreland being reinstated back to the #RedSox roster (right quad strain). @RedSoxCLNS pic.twitter.com/PSha10K7ur

I’m with you Nick, the move is a bit confusing!
In Conclusion
What can you do? Moreland was bound to come back and somebody had to be put down in Pawtucket. But let’s remember the good times with Marco Hernandez.
The White Sox Walk-Off:

The Toronto Tying Homerun:
WHAT IN THE WORLD.
Juiced ball homerun of the night goes to Marco Hernandez of the Red Sox. Baseball‘s been completely altered because of Manfred, as he‘s negatively impacted the game for the die hard baseball fan. He’s ruined the integrity of the game. pic.twitter.com/LbgWhFTNJU

Hopefully, Hernandez gets more opportunities in the Big Leagues. I don’t think we’ve seen the last of him by any means!
