Lock, Fade And Stay Away (9/4/20)

If you want the rest of my lock(s), and all of Fiesta’s make sure to follow and us on twitter (@thechasers617). Also make sure to listen to us on Sound Cloud (@thechasers). Now with that being said let’s get into some of my lock(s), my favorite to fade, and the bet I am staying away from.

Lock(s):

Miami Heat +5 (1.1u/1u)

The Miami Heat have been excellent so far to start the 2020 NBA Playoffs. Jimmy Butler has been “the guy” for the Heat and tonight they are looking to take a commanding 3 games to none lead over the number one seed Milwaukee Bucks. The Bucks have struggled, but looked good down the stretch in Game Two. A late foul call on both sides, was the difference in Game Two. What does Game Three have in store for us tonight? Well I believe that there is no way that Giannis will lose three straight games. I can’t even remember the last time the Bucks lost three straight.

So as I see the Bucks winning tonight, I don’t see them covering the five point spread. With that being said lock in the Heat +5 as I am risking 1.1 units to make 1 unit.

Colorado Avalanche -125 (1.25u/1u)

The Colorado Avalanche have looked like a completely different team with Michael Hutchinson in between the pipes for them. Hutchinson has looked great since drawing the start in Game Five and that is part of the reason why I am riding with the Av’s tonight. Game Seven is a completely different element, and I believe the Avalanche have the advantage tonight. They came out the last two games guns blazing, and tonight we will see more of the same. I am taking the Av’s to come back from their 3-1 series deficit and knock out the Stars tonight. Lock in the Avalanche on the moneyline as I am risking 1.25 units to make 1 unit.

Fade:

New York Mets -128

Yes, I know this fade didn’t work out yesterday. That was because the Yankees are one of the coldest teams in all of baseball at the moment. Today though the Mets have Rick Porcello on the mound and boy does he stink this season. In seven Porcello starts the Mets are 1-6 in those games. Including a game which they are playing the same opponent that Porcello has faced already this season and that opponent is the Philadelphia Phillies. Don’t get me wrong Jake Arrieta hasn’t looked much better this season, but I will ride that Phillies offense to getting the job done tonight. That being said fade the New York Mets moneyline again, this time it will work.

Stay Away:

Over 8 (St. Louis Cardinals vs Chicago Cubs)

Tonight’s pitching matchup in this game is a very good one. We have Jack Flaherty for the Cardinals going up against Yu Darvish for the Cubs. The Cardinals are 3-1 in games that Flaherty has started in this season. While the Cubs are 6-1 in games that Darvish has started, and have won six straight Darvish starts. I think this is going to be a big time pitching duel, and I am looking at the under to hit in this one. With that logic stay far far away from the over in this one.
