Lock, Fade And Stay Away (9/23/20)

If you want the rest of my lock(s), and all of Fiesta’s make sure you are following us on twitter (@thechasers617). Also go give our podcast a listen on Sound Cloud (@thechasers) as well.

Lock(s):

Over 212 (Boston Celtics vs Miami Heat) (2.2u/2u)

The Boston Celtics look to even up the series at two games a piece tonight. After the three days off, both teams should look rejuvenated and ready to put on an absolute show. Boston looked like a new team in Game Three with the return of Gordon Hayward. It looked like a lot of stress was lifted off of some of their young core’s shoulders and this team looked great. They played solid team basketball, and figured out how to finally defeat that dreaded 2-3 zone. Miami’s shooters were off in Game Three, but tonight with a couple days off will they be refreshed and ready to go? There is no doubt in my mind that this over is hitting tonight. I just expect a high energy game from both teams, especially because there is so much riding on this game tonight. Lock in the over in this one as I am risking 2.2 units to make 2 units on this one.

Tampa Bay Lightning -155 (1.55u/1u)

The Tampa Bay Lightning are looking to take a 2-1 lead in the series in their quest for the Stanley Cup. Dallas is fighting to keep themselves in the series, but I just feel Tampa is too powerful. We saw it in Game Two, Tampa Bay jumped out in front early and Dallas had to play catch up for the majority of the game. If Tampa buries one early, there is no doubt in my mind that they win Game Three tonight. Dallas is a completely different team when they get behind. The Stars are 4-5 in playoff games when they don’t score first. Not a bad record, but that means they are 5-2 in games that they have scored first in. The Stars need to score first to get their confidence up early in this one. I love Tampa Bay tonight lock them in on the money line as I am risking 1.55 units to make 1 unit on this one.

Fade:

Atlanta Braves -172

The Atlanta Braves clinched the division last night against the Marlins. Now they can’t finish higher than second in the playoff seeding, but can drop down to third depending on how they do compared to how the Cubs do. Tonight I don’t see the Braves bringing their A game against a Marlins team that is still fighting to clinch a playoff spot. Even with Max Fried on the bump for the Braves, I think he’ll pitch five innings at most and then they will try and keep him healthy for their playoff run. I love Miami in this spot tonight, fade the Braves who are still high on their third straight division title.

Stay Away:

Over 8.5 (Chicago Cubs vs Pittsburgh Pirates)

This will be the stay away bet until it shows that you shouldn’t stay away from it. The Cubs unders are hot as of late, and you need to stay far far away from their overs until further notice. They have hit in five out of their last six games, and have hit in twelve out of their last sixteen games. This is a trend that you must follow. Chicago’s lineup is a veteran lineup that has been struggling to produce multiple runs, and Pittsburgh stinks out loud. Stay far far away from the over in this one.
