Lock, Fade And Stay Away (9/22/20)

Lock(s):
Denver Nuggets +6.5 (1.1u/1u)
The Denver Nuggets were a stop away from being tied in this series at one a piece. Now they are down two games to none, and they have their backs against the wall yet again. This is the time in the playoffs when Denver strives. The Nuggets getting as many points as they are is a crime. Game Three will be another close game with the Nuggets potentially winning to extend the series to at least five. Lock in the Nuggets at +6.5 as I am risking 1.1 units to make 1 unit on this.
Cincinnati Reds -152 (1.52u/1u)
The Cincinnati Reds are one of the hottest teams in baseball at the moment. Cincinnati is getting going at the right time, as we are in the last week of the regular season for baseball. The Reds are still fighting to keep their playoff hopes alive as they throw out Sonny Gray on the bump tonight. Milwaukee is their opponent and they will have Brett Anderson on the mound for them. Cincinnati is 5-4 in games that Sonny Gray has started in this season, and they are 1-1 against the Brewers in games that he has started in as well. I think the Reds have all the momentum, and lock them in on the money line tonight as I am risking 1.52 units to make 1 unit in this one.
Fade:
New York Yankees -270
The Yankees have were on a hot streak, but they have dropped their last two games. New York is considered a heavy favorite tonight with Gerrit Cole on the mound tonight. The Yankees have won his last two starts, but their record when he pitches is isn’t what you would want to see from a guy that they paid a lot of money for this past winter. New York is 7-4 in games that Cole has started in this season. It isn’t a bad record, but with the talent the Yankees have on offense this record should easily be 10-1.
Cole also had a rough stretch of starts where he struggled to get himself out of jams. I think we see that Cole tonight and that is why I am fading the New York Yankees tonight.
Stay Away:
Over 8.5 (Chicago Cubs vs Pittsburgh Pirates)
The Cubs veteran team just doesn’t like to score runs anymore. It is a real shame to see to be honest. This team just stays as far away from the over as possible lately. The Cubs have hit the under in eleven out of their last fifteen games. Their pitching staff has been incredible, and the Cubs offense has been doing what they need to do to get the win. That doesn’t add up to the over in anyway shape or form, and I don’t see it happening again tonight. Stay away from the under in this one folks.
