Lock, Fade And Stay Away (8/20/20)

If you have been living under a rock as of late, I have something to tell you. I haven’t had a negative day gambling in just under two weeks now. If you want the rest of my lock(s) and all of my co-host Fiesta’s lock(s) make sure you are following us on twitter @thechasers617.

Houston Rockets -135

The Houston Rockets came out firing in game one against the Oklahoma City Thunder. Houston controlled the majority of the game, and Oklahoma City couldn’t answer Houston’s hot shooting. Even without Russell Westbrook, the Rockets looked very good in their playoff opener. Tonight with adjustments being made the Rockets are slight favorites over the Thunder. One thing that is taking my head to locking in the Rockets tonight is the fact that James Harden is playing. He is the difference maker in this series, and he is going to show up tonight to have a repeat performance of game one. Also if they are going to get games from Eric Gordon like they did in game one, any team that plays Houston at any point could be in some big trouble. Lock in the Rockets tonight, even though they are undersized; their shooting will be the difference in this one.

New York Yankees -145

The New York Yankees have struggled in the first two games of the series against Tampa Bay. They do have a favorable pitching matchup today in their favor though in my opinion. The Rays are going with John Curtiss while the Yankees are going with James Paxton. Paxton has struggled at times this year, but I do see him figuring it out today against the Rays. Tampa Bay has had the Yankees number as of late, as they are 7-1 in their last eight meetings and have won the past four meetings as well. With the Yankees lineup banged up you would think that they wouldn’t be the favorite in this one. Well here we are and the Yankees don’t have Judge, Stanton, and LeMahieu who are all out with injuries, but yet they are still a favorite. Lock in the Yankees in this one, as their lineup looks to bounce back in a big way today.

Dallas Stars -125

I said it on this week’s episode of The Chasers (which if you haven’t seen go check it out on soundcloud). This series between the Stars and the Flames has been a very weird series. There hasn’t been a trend to follow besides my intuition. Every time I am iffy on the Flames they go out and win, while everytime I love the Flames they end up losing. So in tonight’s game six matchup I am iffy on the Flames which means one thing. Fade the Dallas Stars, and stay away from them. My intuition has been spot on for this series, and since I am iffy on Calgary tonight means that you definitely should bet them tonight. Fade Dallas tonight as they will be heading to a winner takes all game seven after tonight.

Stay Away:

Over 11.5 (Houston Astros vs Colorado Rockies)

The first two games of the series, the final score was 2-1. Last night both sides scored a lot more than that. With both offenses putting up a combined nineteen runs last night, this over seems too high to even be considered to be taking. Also Houston’s lineup is a little banged up as they lost Yordan Alvarez for the season, and Alex Bregman left last night’s game with an injury. Here is a stat that you should take into account today. The Rockies under has hit in four out of their last six games. Houston’s under has hit in four of their last five as well. I don’t even need to say more than that. With that being said stay far far away from the over in this one.
