Lock, Fade And Stay Away (8/11/20)

If you want the rest of my locks, and all of fiesta’s locks make sure you are following us on twitter @thechasers617

Portland Trailblazers -2.5

Portland is fighting for the eighth seed in the Western Conference and has been on a roll as of late. The Blazers are 4-2 since entering the bubble and are only a .5 GB off the eighth spot. Tonight the Blazers take on the Dallas Mavericks who played yesterday, besides Luka and Porzingis who rested.

The Blazers are 5-1-1 against the spread in their last seven games, and are the favorites in this matchup despite the struggle in the season series against the Mavericks. Lock in the Blazers at -2.5 as I see them winning this game because I see Lillard going off and having another huge game to prove a point yet again.

Calgary Flames -105

I was very much so set against the Flames making it out of their qualifier matchup. They very much so proved me wrong, and I believe got a very good first round matchup draw in the Dallas Stars. Dallas didn’t look good for the majority of the round robin, besides the third and overtime period against the Blues in their third game. Calgary looked very good against the Jets, and I think that confidence carries over here. Lock in the Flames moneyline here at (-105) as they look to start their first round matchup on the right foot.

Los Angeles Angels -155

The Los Angeles Angels stole a win last night against the Oakland A’s, and are the favorite tonight to win. In tonight’s pitching matchup we have Mike Fiers for the Athletics going up against Dylan Bundy for the Angels. Bundy has been solid for the Angels so far in 2020, and already owns a win over the A’s. Fiers also pitched against the Angels as well, but his start resulted in a no decision.

I think Oakland’s lineup is the difference maker in this matchup. This is why I am fading the Angels in this one, even with Mike Trout in their lineup.

Stay Away:

Under 8.5 (Kansas City vs Cincinnati)

The Cincinnati Reds have struggled as of late, while the Royals are on a four game winning streak. This game is speaking high scoring to me and here is why. First reason tonight’s pitching matchup is Kris Bubic for the Royals going up against the Luis Castillo for the Reds. Both pitchers have struggled so far this season, and with the over/under line at 8.5 runs seems to little for me. I am staying far away from this under and you should too.
