Lock:
Baylor -125 (2.5u/2u)
Baylor is looking to show how much they are into the Big 12 championship race, as they head to Morgan Town to take on West Virginia. I am not high on West Virginia and I would take Charlie Brewer over Jarret Doege ten times out of ten. Brewer is one of the most experienced quarterbacks in the Big 12, and Baylor has a solid all-around offense around him.
I love Baylor’s defense, they are still as good as they were a season ago and is going to be tough to go up against. Look for Baylor’s number one receiver Tyquan Thornton to be a big factor in this game today, as he was not looked at much in their opener against Kansas. The Mountaineers didn’t look good against Oklahoma State last week who didn’t have their starting quarterback. Lock in Baylor on the moneyline as I am risking 2.5 units to make 2 units in this one.
Fade:
North Carolina -14.5
North Carolina hasn’t played a game in three weeks due, and they are set to go to Boston College who has looked good so far in 2020. Boston College has Notre Dame transfer Jurkovec starting at quarterback for them and he has looked good for the Eagles. In UNC’s only game of the season their offense looked really good against an alright Syracuse team. Sophomore quarterback Sam Howell has a talented group of receivers to throw to, but with not playing a game in three weeks is making me feel a type of way. How will it affect him in game two of his sophomore campaign? I think Boston College can easily cover this and has a chance to win this game outright. Fade the Tar Heels in this one.
Stay Away:
Under 45.5 (USF vs Cincinnati)
This number is just too low for my liking. I think Cincinnati is going to dominate this game against USF, but I do see USF getting their own on offense in this one. They need 46 combined points to hit this and Cincinnati is scoring in the 30’s easily by themselves. That means that USF will need anywhere from 10-17 points that they will need to score in order for this over to hit. I think the Bulls offense can easily do this. Watch out for Cincinnati’s run game who struggled against Army last week. The running game is going to be much better for the Bearcats this week. Which means it should open up the passing game for Desmond Ridder. Stay far far away from the under in this one.
