Live Blog: 2021 NHL Entry Draft, Round 1
Another day, another NHL draft, another live blog! This time, I’ll be live-blogging round one of the 2021 NHL Entry Draft, which begins at 8:00 pm ET and airs on ESPN2 and Sportsnet. Follow along with me for coverage of all the picks, plus any trades that go down once the action begins! All trades in the 2021 NHL Entry Draft will be located in the first section. Then, picks will be organized by the order in which they’ll happen, so since the Buffalo Sabres have the first overall pick this year, they’ll be listed first.
Trades
Several trades happened earlier today in the 2021 NHL Entry Draft, but this section will only include trades that occurred after 8:00 pm ET today.
The Dallas Stars have traded the 15th overall pick in this year’s draft to the Detroit Red Wings for the 23rd, 48th, and 138th picks in this year’s draft.
The Minnesota Wild have traded the 20th overall pick in this year’s draft to the Edmonton Oilers for the 22nd and 90th picks in this year’s draft.
The Carolina Hurricanes have traded the 27th overall pick in this year’s draft to the Nashville Predators for the 40th and 51st picks in this year’s draft.
