Imagine Having Tom Brady Sit Out Two Games

It was reported Friday that NFL Owners want to raise the number of games from 16 to 18 regular season games. Here’s the catch though, they want to make that each player in the league gets a total of 16 games max. That obviously means that all players would have to sit two games throughout each season. Can you imagine that?

I cannot imagine this ruling to pass. I think it is ridiculous. Can you imagine Tom Brady sitting two meaningful games? Well, he’d have to if this ruling passed. This would change a lot in the NFL. There is enough game planning as is for the couches around the league but now they will have to figure out when to play certain players and when to not play them.

I don’t get the point of this rule. If you want to extend the season, just do it but don’t make it so players only can play a certain amount of games. Players like Brady would hate to see this happen because every player who deserves to play, should be playing every meaningful game.

I cannot imagine games without Tom Brady. It was hard for me, and probably many more Patriot fans, seeing Tom not playing the first four games of the 2016 season. Now if Brady plays until he’ 45 years old, that would potentially mean that we would have to watch some Patriot games without Tom under center. Never mind that I cannot imagine what it will be like when he is retired and so I don’t want to imagine him not playing 2 games while he is still in the league. I am out on this proposal from the NFL Owners.
