#FreeSteve: Barstool’s Section 10 Podcast co-host Steve Perrault banned on Twitter
During the 2020 season, Dodgers reliever Joe Kelly was suspended eight games by Major League Baseball. His suspension was in part due to a bench-clearing brawl between the Dodgers and Astros. Kelly threw a fastball that went behind Alex Bregman’s head and then taunted Carlos Correa on the way back to the dugout.

“All things considered, that Joe Kelly suspension is the most ridiculous suspension in the history of sports.” – Steve Perrault.
Until now.
Tuesday was Perez Day, Martin Perez was making his first start of the spring. That should have been the focus for Red Sox Nation and fans alike.
Instead the most ridiculous suspension in the history of sports, hell the world happened. Barstool’s Section 10 podcast host Steve Perrault was suspended on Twitter.

Punishment Fit the Crime?
Rumors began to circulate on Twitter as to why Perrault has been throw in Twitter jail. Tweets began to surface regarding alleged rumors and fans began to mourn the loss of a beloved Twitter icon.
Wait. Why was @Steve_Perrault suspended? I must know right now! pic.twitter.com/wBTqW8PPDc
— Pat Light (@Pat_Light) March 2, 2021
Sorry We’re Closed podcast host, Pat Light took to Twitter in his shock and dismay surrounding the Perrault suspension. Light tweeted that “Sources: Twitter has launched a full investigation into tweets from as far back as 3 years ago.”
MassLive’s Chris Cotillo began to speculate the Perrault suspension had to do with the way he egregiously pronounces his name. He would later go on to tweet from a source it had to do with clip he posted from Creed II, three years ago.
Source: @Steve_Perrault‘s Twitter account suspended because he posted a clip from Creed II three years ago and it was identified as a copyright violation today. He’s alive and well. But you hate to see it.

Furthermore, Light would go onto add from his source, “I had zero intention of using a movie clip without permission. It’s the Michael B. Jordan one when they’re riding the motorcycles in Creed. Sorry, I love that scene. Please bring me back, Twitter. Thank you.”
As a result, Perrault has been banned. The alleged video that resulted in the ban is below.
Fan Reaction and the World Mourns
Over the last few weeks, the hottest podcast on the planet, Section 10 has been bringing fans absolute bangers. Guests have included Alex Cora, Dustin Pedroia, Chaim Bloom, Dan Duquette and Doug Mientkiewicz.
With the incredible success of Section 10, there is reason to believe someone is behind the Perrault ban.
Perrault has already taken to his Tik Tok to announce his suspension. Furthermore, he is also looking to get to the bottom of who is responsible for reporting the Creed II tweet.
In addition, a Twitter handle was created solely devoted to spreading the message of freeing Perrault. Fans are reacting and they are demanding answers for being outlawed on social media.
I gotta say…

See You On the Other Side
In conclusion, this is arguably the biggest Twitter ban since Donald Trump, Perrault is now the Andy Dufrense of social media. Sometimes you have to be remind yourself that some birds aren’t meant to be caged. Perrault can’t be held down.
Finally, there needs to be a full investigation into this complete miscarriage of justice. People must be held accountable, the world is demanding answers, damnit!
In the words from Red from The Shawshank Redemption, “Andy Dufresne – who crawled through a river of shit and came out clean on the other side.”
