Fantasy Hockey Week Two Predictions
Welcome back to another fantasy hockey piece. Today we will be talking about five predictions that I have for week number two of the fantasy hockey season. Last week I gave you five predictions that I had for week number one. Now this week I have five predictions that I will give you for week number two. Without further ado here are my week two predictions for fantasy hockey.
Here is the schedule for week two in fantasy hockey here
Kirill Kaprizov Will Lead All Forwards In Fantasy Points
Kirill Kaprizov was a name that people were keeping an eye on during the off season. We didn’t know if he was going to leave the states to go back to play in the KHL. Well he is back and in week number two he is going to lead all forwards in fantasy points. The Wild have three games this week all at home by the way. They host Winnipeg, Anaheim and Nashville this week. Kaprizov has two assists in two games so far this season. With these three games that are coming up this week I see him scoring seven total points including three of them to be on the powerplay. Look for Kaprizov to be a workhorse this week and single handedly helping fantasy owners to wins in week number two.
Juuse Saros Starts Three Out Of Their Four Games
Nashville has a four game stretch in week number two. Juuse Saros will start three out of four of these games. They start off at home Tuesday and Thursday this week. The Predators host the Kings and the Rangers, those are two games that Saros will start in. Then they play Saturday/Sunday on the road and he will start in the game on Sunday probably at Minnesota. Saros will be a workhorse in week number two, but we have to see how Nashville is going to look in front of him before coming to terms with how much we trust Saros fantasy wise.
Two More Hat-Tricks Get Added To The Season Total
Week one was insane scoring wise. We had four hat-tricks that happened in week number one. Tyler Bertuzzi had a four goal game and then we got hat-tricks from Connor McDavid, Sam Bennett and Anze Kopitar. This week I think we are due for two more hat-tricks to be added to the total. Now I have a few names that I think could score them this week, but that is no fun. So I am going to predict the two hat-tricks this week instead. The first one will happen on Thursday night in the Vancouver Canucks and Chicago Blackhawks game. The hat-trick will be scored by Elias Pettersson. Now the second hat-trick will happne on Sunday in the San Jose Sharks and the Boston Bruins game. That hat-trick will be scored by David Pastrnak. Those are my two predictions on who will score the hat-tricks this week.
Brad Marchand Averages Six Or More Fantasy Points Per Game
Brad Marchand kicked the season off on the right foot in week number one with a two goal performance in his first game of the season. This week the Bruins have three games and Marchand has performed well in the past against all three opponents. The Bruins are at Philadelphia and at Buffalo to start off the week. Then they finish at home against San Jose. Marchand is going to put up monster numbers in those three games this week. I expect him to be in contention for Player of the week this week. Look out for the most hated skater from the Bruins to put up some serious numbers in week number two.
Aaron Ekblad Scores The Most Fantasy Points For Defenseman
Aaron Ekblad was on pace for a career year in 2020-2021 in my opinion. He was going to score a career high in goals, assists and points last season. We should see it this year, but I am expecting a monster week for him in week number two. Florida has three games against three solid opponents. On the road at Tampa Bay, at home against Colorado and on the road at Philadelphia this week. Ekblad is going to continue to block a lot of shots to get points and he is going to be a big help on the scoreboard this week. Look for Ekblad to continue to dominate and score the most fantasy points in fantasy hockey this week for all defenseman.
