Fantasy Football: Waiver Wire Week Five

We are officially a month into the fantasy football season. We have so many people already panicking that their seasons could be over. Then you have others that are looking to make moves to try and give themselves a good chance at winning the fantasy football crown. For teams that desperately need a RB2 option I got you covered. For those who need help on adding a wide receiver off waivers, I got you covered. Now with that being said here are my waiver wire moves for week number five that you should be making.

Damien Williams

Damien Williams is currently only owned in 15 percent of leagues on ESPN. He is going to be the lead back for the Bears now that David Montgomery will miss some time with a knee injury. If you can acquire Williams and need to play a running back I would start him this week for sure. He is a versatile runner and can make defenders miss with ease. He ended up with 15 fantasy points after Montgomery went down. 55 rushing yards a touchdown to go along 2 receptions and fifteen receiving yards as well. That was in a short amount of time, I think with a full game’s worth of playing time does numbers go up. Williams is going to be a hot commodity on the waiver wire, do yourself a favor and get him while its hot.

Dawson Knox

Dawson Knox is a tight end to add this week without a doubt. Knox has seen an uptick in his targets the last couple of weeks. Last week Knox had two touchdowns and has a touchdown in each of the last three weeks. Allen has great chemistry with Knox and he can become a top ten fantasy tight end if his production keeps up. I can see Knox continuing on this trend and become a viable option for not only the Bills, but for fantasy owners as well. Go add Dawson Knox off of the waiver wire right now.

Jamison Crowder

Jamison Crowder played in his first game of the season last week and he came to play. Nine targets and brought in 7 receptions to go along with 61 receiving yards and a touchdown. Crowder was the leader in receptions and targets for the Jets last week. Zach Wilson looked really good having a receiver like Jamison Crowder on the field. He is going to be the main target for this Jets team. Crowder is easily going to be a solid flex option week in and week out with some serious WR2 upside. He is only roster in 19.1 percent of leagues on ESPN. Go add him in any league that he is available in because he is going to be a great fantasy asset for the rest of the season.
