Fantasy Football Preview: San Francisco Vs Philadelphia

We have another interesting matchup in fantasy football this week. San Francisco is on the road against Philadelphia this week. Last week we saw the Eagles offense look good against Atlanta’s mediocre defense. While the 49ers offense looked good against Detroit, but their defense struggled late in the game. This is a game that I think could be a shootout, or it could be a very one sided affair. With that being said here is my fantasy football preview for this week two matchup.

Must Play:

Jalen Hurts

I said it last week and I will say it again this week. Jalen Hurts is a must play quarterback week in and week out. He is inside the top ten as of last week and he will stay in the top ten after this week as well. Hurts is a dual threat and I think the 49ers are really going to struggle with containing him in week number two. We saw what Jared Goff did to them last week, I can only imagine what Hurts has in store for them this week.

Prediction: 320 Passing Yards, 55 rushing yards and three total touchdowns. QB8 this week for me.

Keep An Eye On:

Kenneth Gainwell

I think Kenneth Gainwell has the potential to become the featured back in Philadelphia. Last week Gainwell 37 yards rushing. a rushing touchdown and 2 receptions for six yards in week number one. That was with limited touches as well, but if they break open the offense for Gainwell he could be a must have running back. Gainwell is owned in 25.8 percent of leagues right now. If he is available in your league still I would grab him store him and wait for him to explode because it is incoming soon.

San Francisco Running Backs

A hot name that was a waiver wire acquisition in the majority of leagues was none other than Elijah Mitchell. Can he repeat his great performance from week one in week two? I don’t think so as I do think that Trey Sermon will be involved. If Sermon is involved, I think Mitchell’s value goes down. Mitchell was dressed in week one while Sermon was not so it makes you think about Trey Sermon. However, when Sermon is on the football field you have to know he is going to get carries whether owners like it or not. With that being said I am waiting to see how this backfield plays out, so for now I am avoiding them.

Other Fantasy Predictions:

George Kittle: TE4 this week for me.

DeVonta Smith: WR29 this week for me.

Miles Sanders: RB21 this week for me.

Deebo Samuel: WR21 this week for me.
