A division clash in the AFC East has an interesting fantasy football matchup in week number two. The Patriots are on the road at Metlife taking on the New York Jets. This is an interesting matchup fantasy football wise and I am excited for it. We have some players that you must play in your lineups, players to keep an eye on and players to avoid all together. With that being said here is the fantasy football preview for the AFC East clash between New England and New York.
Must Play:
James White
James White is a must play in this matchup against the New York Jets. I am starting White as my RB2 in multiple leagues due to his pass catching ability. We saw Mac Jones use a lot of check downs in week number one. I think we see more of the same in week number two. James White has real potential to finish inside the top twenty for fantasy running backs in week number two. I have him outside the top 30 right now, but I think he is going to get a plethora of receptions from Jones.
Prediction: 30 rushing yards, 8 receptions 75 receiving yards and a touchdown.
Keep An Eye On:
Jakobi Meyers
Jakobi Meyers led the team in targets in week number one and we should see an uptick of numbers in week number two. Meyers to me is a solid option for Mac Jones, but I am struggling to play him in my lineup every single week. I think once him and Jones get that chemistry to one hundred percent than he would be a solid flex option in fantasy football. He is a keep an eye on type of player right now so do yourself a favor and keep a close eye on Jakobi Meyers who could become the official number one wide receiver for the Patriots.
Avoid:
New York Jets Running Backs
I just don’t know still who the number one running back option for the Jets truly is right now. They have four options Tevin Coleman, Ty Johnson, Michael Carter and La’Mical Perine. All four of them have a chance to be the guy, but none of them will break the barrier to become the lead back for this team. I will continue to stay away from any running backs from the Jets. Avoid all New York Jets running backs from here on out until we know who their number one running back really is.
Other Fantasy Predictions:
Damien Harris: 85 rushing yards and a touchdown. RB26 this week for me.
Corey Davis: 6 receptions 60 receiving yards and a touchdown. WR34 this week for me.
