Fantasy Football Preview: New England Patriots vs Carolina Panthers
It’s officially November. The temperature is drastically falling, most of the leaves are off the trees, and there’s more football. This week the New England Patriots are once again on the road. This time they’re in Charlotte, North Carolina to take on the Carolina Panthers. Both teams are coming off of a win last week. So, who will stand out in this game? Here is the fantasy football preview: New England Patriots vs Carolina Panthers.
Must play:
Jakobi Meyers

This will be the week Jakobi Meyers finally scores a touchdown. On top of that, with teams like the Tampa Bay Bucs and Washington Football Team on the bye, there’s a good amount of receivers who will not be playing this week. Meyers can slide right in to the flex position. He’ll be good for at least ten to twelve fantasy points against the Panthers defense.
Prediction: 5 catches, 70 receiving yards, 1 touchdown
D.J. Moore

At the beginning of the season, it looked like D.J. Moore was going to be this year’s fantasy king at wide receiver. However, his numbers the last few weeks have not been the same. But, that doesn’t mean Moore should not be in the starting lineup. Either Sam Darnold or P.J. Walker will be looking for him early and often as a security blanket to complete passes to.
Prediction: 6 catches, 90 receiving yards, 1 touchdown
Also start:
Damien Harris
Another week another touchdown. Harris had 23 carries for 80 yards and a touchdown in last week’s win over the Los Angeles Chargers. Harris is more trusted on the goal line and that is where he gets his touchdowns from. Harris is another option for the flex position or RB2. If any Derrick Henry owners are still struggling to find replacements, there’s no shame in having Harris at RB1 for this week too.
Prediction: 20 carries, 90 rushing yards, 1 touchdown
Robby Anderson
Yes, Anderson is having a down year. Also yes, Anderson is still looking for a big breakout game. Could this be the game Anderson breaks out completely? Most likely not, but he’ll still be a factor. Anderson knows what it takes to be successful against a Bill Belichick defense. With the New England defense mainly focused on D.J. Moore, Anderson is bound to be left open from time to time again.
Prediction: 4 catches, 80 yards
Toss up:
Christian McCaffrey

Christian McCaffrey is officially back for the Carolina Panthers. But, how healthy is he? Will he be able to go the entire game without re-aggravating his hamstring injury? These are two questions as to why McCaffrey is a toss up player. Yes, it’s nice to have him back, but, he’s going up against a defense that hits hard in the New England Patriots. Yes, his fantasy owners are rejoicing, but they should keep in mind is injury history as a running back and how a hamstring injury can do serious damage to a running back in general.
Prediction: 15 carries, 70 yards
Avoid:
Carolina Panthers defense/special teams
Yes, this is a Stephon Gilmore revenge game. But, this defense should not be near any starting lineups this week. The Patriots offense has been clicking and will continue their hot streak against the Panthers. On average, the Panthers defense also gives up 19.9 points per game. There’s a chance they give up more than that on Sunday.
