Fantasy Football Preview: Minnesota vs Cincinnati

Fantasy Football Matchups are officially underway. Now we are looking at a matchup where there will be some players that you are going to want to play in it. That matchup is none other than Minnesota vs Cincinnati. This game kicks off at 1 PM eastern time on Sunday and this game could be a sneaky good one for fantasy purposes. With that being said here is my fantasy football preview for this matchup.

Must Play:

Joe Mixon

Joe Mixon is my must play of this matchup. Outside of the other big names that are playing in this, I love the Mixon match up this week. Minnesota’s front seven looks intimidating on paper, but I have a weird feeling that Mixon is going to have a big game to start week one. With no Bernard, Mixon could work his way into the workhorse back that fantasy owners thought he was going to become for years now. I have Mixon as my RB14 this week. Watch out if you are playing against Mixon in week number one, because he will start the season off on the right foot.

Prediction: 75 rushing yards, 4 receptions 44 receiving yards.

Keep An Eye On:

Ja’Marr Chase

Ja’Marr Chase did not look good in the pre season. However I expect him to figure it out sooner rather than later. He isn’t a must play this week, but I am keeping my eye on how him and Burrow do in their reunion together. I am still on the hype of these two being a great duo together. Chase is my WR43 this week, but I think he has potential to finish within the top 30 this week. Look for Chase to try and get his feet wet early before playing him on a week to week basis.

Avoid:

Tight Ends

Minnesota will be without Irv Smith Jr for this one so for both sides the tight end position is a must avoid this week. Tyler Conklin is the tight end that will start for Minnesota. For Cincinnati their starting tight end is C.J. Uzomah. Both tight ends are avoidable at all costs this week as there will not be enough volume or targets for either tight end this week.

Other Fantasy Predictions:

Dalvin Cook: 125 rushing yards, 3 receptions 30 receiving yards 2 total touchdowns. RB2 this week for me.

Justin Jefferson: 7 Receptions 104 Receiving Yards and 1 touchdown. WR6 this week for me.

Adam Thielen: 5 Receptions 65 Receiving Yards and 1 touchdown. WR23 this week for me.

Tee Higgins: 7 Receptions 60 Receiving Yards. WR26 this week for me.
