Fantasy Football Preview: Los Angeles vs Washington

We are back fantasy football is now live. Last night we had the first game of the year, but now we trend towards the Sunday slate of games. Today I am going to be talking about the Chargers vs the Washington Football Team. Justin Herbert vs Ryan Fitzpatrick, the fantasy football matchup that should be getting a lot more recognition. With that being said here is my fantasy football preview for the Chargers vs the Football team.

Keenan Allen

Keenan Allen is a absolute must play in this matchup against the Football team. I think Allen has a favorable matchup going up against either Kyle Fuller or William Jackson. Fantasy wise I have Allen as my WR9 this week. This is going to be a big time game for Allen. Last season in games that Herbert started in, Allen got targeted 10 or more times ten times last season. Allen and Herbert is a deadly combination and he absolutely kills it in week one against Washington.

Prediction: 8 Receptions 110 Receiving Yards 1 Touchdown.

Others To Play:

Logan Thomas:

I think Logan Thomas is going to be a top ten tight end not only this week, but this season as well. This matchup against the Chargers is a favorable one for Thomas. I have Thomas as my TE7 this week. Logan Thomas progressed last season and I see him being a matchup nightmare for the Chargers defense. Look for Thomas to get anywhere from 12 to 15 points this week and finishing top ten in tight ends this week.

Keep An Eye On:

Ryan Fitzpatrick:

We saw last season that Fitzpatrick sling the ball around very well. Can he keep it up this season? Only time will tell, but I do think he has better weapons this year than he did last year. I have Fitzpatrick as QB16 this week against the Chargers. Personally I am waiting to see how Fitzpatrick does in week one before really buying into the thought of him being a must play fantasy quarterback. Keep an eye on Fitzpatrick because if he has a good game this week, we could see his fantasy value increase.

Biggest Question Mark

Austin Ekeler

Ekeler missed practice on Wednesday with a hamstring injury. If he is healthy enough to play, I have him as RB11 this week in my rankings. If he is less than 100 percent and playing, I see his value going down in week one. We will have to wait and see how the rest of the week plays out for Ekeler, but keep an eye on him because of this injury.

Other Fantasy Predictions:

Justin Herbert: 320 Passing Yards 3 Passing Touchdowns. QB10 this week for me.

Antonio Gibson: 84 Rushing Yards, 70 Receiving Yards and 2 total touchdowns. RB5 this week for me.

Terry McLaurin: 6 Receptions 65 Receiving Yards. WR18 this week for me.
