Duke Men’s Basketball Just Got A Monster Commit
Marvin Bagley is heading to Duke and the kid is an absolute BEAST! He may be a little raw, but Bagley can do pretty much everything on the court. Below I posted his latest mixtape video, so everyone can see what Bagley is capable of.
Clearly this guy (probably should not call him a kid) is an absolute freak of nature. Add him to the already stacked 2017 Duke starting 5, and you can pretty much chalk Duke up for an national title.
Duke Finally got a true ball handling point guard in Trevon Duval. Duval is the number one ranked pg in the country in the class of 2017 and he is a talented distributor that likes to keep players happy. The past couple years, Frank Jackson and Allen have been running the point (not true point guards).
Wendell Carter is a double double machine and was the best power forward in the class before Baggley reclassified. Having Carter and Baggley on the block together will create nightmare matchups for every team in the country.
NOW you top all of this with Grayson Allen, who will have no pressure on his shoulders. Allen had an up and down junior season and did not live up to his full potential. Now Allen will have plenty of opportunities to show NBA draft scouts his true game. If he can shoot 40% from beyond the arc like he did in his sophomore season, then this Duke team will be almost impossible to beat.
I get that this team is full of Freshman, but they are the most talented Freshman in the country. It will take a little while for this team to mesh and play as one team, but they also have the best coach in college basketball. Coach K has to love his chances as he gets ready for this upcoming season.
