Danny Ainge Had A LOT To Say Today About The Celtics Future
Every Celtics fan is going through the nervous stage of the off-season. Especially with Kyrie Irving’s decision to stay or go coming up, people aren’t exactly feeling confident at the moment. But fear not Celtics fans, Danny Ainge is here to calm us all down a bit. He definitely had a lot to say today about the future of this Celtics team.
They Are Looking At Any And All Draft Prospects
Danny Ainge says that when all is said and done, we’ll have had about 100 prospects come through the practice facility for pre-draft workouts.

Obviously, the Celtics do not have a top 10 pick in this year’s draft. But that doesn’t mean that they are taking the draft lightly. As you can see, Ainge and his staff are hard at work to see who can be the next piece of the Celtics puzzle. With the 14th, 20th, and 22nd picks at their disposal, the Celtics could get a few steals in there. Or, they could use those picks for a future trade? You never know!
He Is Not Worried At All About Gordon Hayward
“I’m really excited for Gordon’s upcoming season,” Danny Ainge days of Gordon Hayward. “He’s here every day working out with five or six coaches … I’m not worried about Gordon.”
— Boston Celtics (@celtics) June 5, 2019
Look, I get it when it comes to Gordon Hayward. A lot of people expected him to just suddenly return to his All-Star caliber form in Utah. That was completely unfair and unjustified considering how severe the injury he sustained was back in 2017. It’s clear that Hayward is continuing to work rigorously to get back to his old self. If Danny Ainge isn’t worried about Hayward, then neither am I.
In Conclusion
Danny Ainge is talking a lot of us off of the negative train with some of these comments. Will it suck if Kyrie Irving leaves this off-season from a talent perspective? Of course! But, does that mean that the Celtics are dead and back to a rebuilding phase? Not even close! So take what Danny Ainge has said and relax a bit Celtics fans. This team will still be very good. Now, it is just going to take a few moves to get them back to that true championship contender form.
