Champions League Action Continues!
One of the world’s hottest soccer tournament continues! Yes, we are talking about the Champions League and the action continues to unfold.
In this weeks’ schedule for the Champions League we have some serious battles happening and I am here to share with you some predictions.
Champions League Matches TODAY!
Atletico Madrid vs. Chelsea:
What a massive clash between two titans! The best of the best meet and this should be an exciting game to watch.
Atletico right now has the lead of the Spanish La Liga and rightfully so, their main striker Luis Suarez has proven Barcelona wrong in so many ways while continuing to deliver results for the Calderon side. Meanwhile, Chelsea is under new management at the hands of Thomas Tuchel and they haven’t looked bad since. Tuchel’s dangerous alignment of the squad with a 3-5-2 formation has caught the attention of others in the Premier League.
With these two teams facing off, it would not be surprising to see a first half full of balance. However, the second half will explode and that’s where a possible draw between these two would come to fruition. 2-2 score is my prediction.
The Champions League is back! ✨

Bayern Munich vs. Lazio
I almost feel bad for the Italian side here. However, Lazio has shown true grit thus far in the Champions League and shouldn’t be counted out just yet.
Meanwhile, the Bavarian machine will be looking to deliver a devastating punch. Bayern is simply and without a doubt the greatest team in the world right now. A close match to them is Manchester City and if they were to play each other right now we would all be treated to the match of the year without a doubt. I am going to go here with a 3-1 victory for Bayern.
Champions League Action Tomorrow!
Atalanta vs. Real Madrid.
A decent clash in the making! Real Madrid and its galacticos have surprised many in the Champions League so far and are somehow surviving. In the Spanish La Liga, Real Madrid has left much to be desired and honestly a team that just rides with injury after injury. Eden Hazard hasn’t delivered much for the Spanish side since he came to it and Sergio Ramos is dying to leave Madrid once and for all, Ramos has been strongly linked with Manchester United even though the English side has denied such intentions.
Meanwhile, Atalanta while struggling in the Serie A and its competitiveness. They have a very strong duo in Luis Muriel and Duvan Zapata! The Colombian connection will make sure their presence is felt but their sneakiness in the counter attack will be a nuance to Real Madrid in my opinion. Atalanta’s offensive game will certainly need to get going first in order for this to happen, should it get going, I am giving Atalanta the win here with a 2-1 score.
Monchengladbach vs. Manchester City.
Borussia Monchengladbach was quite the pleasant surprise in this round. They were given a somewhat tough draw but managed to qualify onto the next round and deliver great performances.
However, I am afraid to say that the party might stop here. As i mentioned earlier, City is absolutely firing in all cylinders! The Manchester side has climbed to the top of the English Premier League and have a commanding lead in one of the most exciting leagues in the world right now. Nevertheless, their performance thus far in the Champions League has left many hoping for a Bayern vs. City final because it would be one for the ages. Imagine that collision? Pep Guardiola used to coach the Bavarian side and now coaching this strong English side, yet Hans Flick has done everything right! WOW!!!

Quite frankly, I would be delusional to consider City out of this match. I am going with a 3-1 win here for Manchester City.
In Closing…
Honestly, if you are missing out on Champions League action and you are a soccer fan, this is a painful pill to swallow given the talent oozing out of this competition. I can only begin to tell you just how insane the Summer Transfer window this summer will be when teams look to rebuild and produce new winning formulas for their individual teams. As it is, the rumor mill was going wild with allegations that Kevin De Bruyne would be up for trading this summer and yet Pep shut that down immediately!
It is possible though that we could see a clearance sale happening out of Borussia Dortmund as they are deciding what to do with Eerling Haaland and Jadon Sancho. The German side is weighing options that may give them certain financial results they are looking to accomplish but could paint a difficult future for the club if they don’t find suitable replacement options.
