After a heartbreaking loss last Sunday, the Buffalo Bills are on their bye week. In this article, I will provide you with an update on where the team stands.
First in the division
As of now, Buffalo leads the AFC East with a record of 7-3. It’s not a comfortable lead however, as the Miami Dolphins are one game back with a 6-3 record. Bills fans are Denver Broncos fans this weekend as they will play Miami on Sunday. Bills do have the advantage over the Dolphins however, thanks to their Week 2 win over Miami. Buffalo is also undefeated against divisional opponents so far this season with a record of 4-0.
Third in the conference
When was the last time Buffalo was a top team in the AFC? It’s been awhile. Currently, the Bills are third place in the AFC. Pittsburgh is in first, Kansas City sits in second, Bills in third, Indianapolis in fourth. The Raiders are in fifth, the Dolphins sit in sixth and the Baltimore Ravens are in seventh. If the playoffs started today, it would be an AFC East matchup as Buffalo would face the aforementioned Miami Dolphins. There is still a long way to go before the season ends, so these seedings are bound to change.
After the bye week, the Bills will attempt to rebound against the Los Angeles Chargers in Orchard Park. After hosting the Chargers, Buffalo will get a couple of games under the lights. The team will head to San Francisco with a battle on Monday Night Football against the 49ers. They will then head home with a huge battle against the Steelers on Sunday Night Football. Buffalo will be back on the road once again when they will take on the Denver Broncos and a Monday Night Football meeting with the Patriots in Foxborough. Week 17 will be a huge game as they will take on the Dolphins to wrap up the season.
