Bruins Frontrunners for Chris Kreider

The Bruins are currently looking to make a very deep postseason run. They have been in trade rumors for awhile now as the trade deadline is vastly approaching. One name off the board is Tyler Toffoli as he is headed for Vancouver. But, another name that has popped up and being heavily linked to the black and gold is left winger Chris Kreider.

The Bruins Need More Scoring

Kreider would be a good fit to the Bruins as they look to bolster their other lines. Kreider has 41 points in 52 games this season. He is a seasoned veteran and can be a piece that this team thrives off of having with them for the rest of the season. Plus, six of his seven full seasons have ended in a positive rating for plus/minus. That wouldn’t hurt the Bruins either.

The Rangers Aren’t Going Anywhere

The Rangers are 10th in the whole Eastern Conference in total points. I think the Rangers aren’t going too far this year. They might be willing to part ways with Kreider if the Bruins throw in a few picks and a good prospect. It might be worth it for their long-term success.

In Conclusion

For now, this is just all smoke and mirrors. We don’t know if the Bruins will pull through on this deal. They might like this team right now. After all, a lot of this team went to game seven of the Stanley Cup Finals last season. Could Kreider be the missing piece? Maybe. But if they don’t acquire the winger, then I’m okay with this team going forward for the rest of the 2019-2020 season.
