Brooklyn is a Problem and that Hurts the Celtics
The Boston Celtics and the Brooklyn Nets faced each other on Christmas Day, with Brooklyn securing a statement win, 123-95.
The Celtics were hanging in, even having a lead in the first half but the combination of Kevin Durant and Kyrie Irving were just too much for the Celtics. Durant and Irving took over the 2nd half of the game, as the Celtics couldn’t keep up with the two superstars.
Brooklyn first two games of the season, showed the league that they are going to be a major problem as they beat the Golden State Warriors and Boston Celtics very comfortability. Milwaukee, Toronto, and Celtics were the top three teams who would most likely represent the Eastern Conference in the NBA Finals. However, Brooklyn is now on that list and I expect to see them making a very deep playoffs once that time comes.
I believe Christmas Day was a preview on the Eastern Conference Finals. The Nets are most likely going to be the best team in the East when its all said and done. The Celtics are still without star point guard Kemba Walker, who is expected back sometime in January. Getting him back will help this team and potentially get them to the Eastern Conference. It is only been two games but with those two games, I have a feeling what the playoffs are going to look like when March comes around.
