Avery Bradley was Snubbed

Just ahead of tonight’s NBA Award Show, the All-NBA Defense & All-Rookie teams were announced. Let’s take a look

While I’m happy my boy Jaylen made the All-Rookie team, I am pretty disappointed in the fact that Avery Bradley was left off of BOTH All-Defensive teams. If you look at the tape, there’s no question AB is one of if not the best defending guards in the NBA. I would take him over all four of the guards who made it ahead of him. When did Danny Green and Chris Paul become All-NBA level defenders? I really don’t get it. You could argue that AB only played 55 games this season, but Chris Paul only played SIX MORE games than him. Some players around the league seem to agree with me:

Avery Bradley was a lock down defender in the playoffs, especially in the Wizards series against John Wall. It’s also very well known around the NBA that Avery Bradley is a lockdown defender, so I really shouldn’t have to get into this too much. I’m just really annoyed with all of the people who were responsible for putting these lists together. It’s such a joke.

I agree!! In Stephen A.’s words, “Blasphemous!” I don’t know if this was a popularity contest or what but there is no way Bradley isn’t first-team defense. Especially not outside top 4, no way. I guess I’m pleased with the rest of the awards so something had to disappoint right?
