AEW Champion Possibly Injured

Wardlow AEW TNT Champion

AEW juggernaut Wardlow appears to have suffered a possible injury while taping a tag team match for Friday’s special two-hour edition of AEW Rampage: Grand Slam. The match saw Wardlow team up with Samoa Joe to tackle the duo of Tony Neese and Josh Woods in a throwaway tag team match that was filmed after AEW Dynamite at the famed Arthur Ashe Stadium.

Dave Meltzer, of Wrestling Observer Radio, recently stated: “Did you hear anything about Wardlow being hurt? Wardlow appeared to be hurt. I don’t know how serious. He appeared to have a leg injury, but he did come back.”

No official word from AEW or Wardlow himself yet on if the TNT Champion is injured or, if so, will miss any time from the ring. Wardlow won the TNT Championship title back in July from Scorpio Sky and has been on a bit of a tear ever since. He is still part of the poster for AEW’s Full Gear pay-per-view, which is scheduled to take place in November.

We will keep you posted as we learn more about Wardlow’s possible injury.
