A Super Bowl Prediction From A Basketball Expert

Well it’s finally here; Super Bowl week. It’s one of the craziest weeks in sports leading up to the biggest night in sports; the Super Bowl itself. The entire week will include breakdowns, picks, and predictions that will have nothing to do with what happens on Sunday. So I am about to do the same right here and give my two cents about Super Bowl LII between the New England Patriots and the Philadelphia Eagles.

Now being from Boston, of course I am a Patriots’ fan. But I like to think that I can put my fandom aside and give a reasonable and fair outline. That being said, I would be shocked if Patriots lose this game. While the Eagles have a very talented and balanced team; they don’t have Bill Belichick and Tom Brady. But more importantly, they do not have Carson Wentz. Wentz was going to be the MVP of the league before he tore his ACL. So it’s sad to see the Eagles not at full strength and I truly mean that. When you’re trying to be the best, you want to go through the best.

That being said, Nick Foles isn’t trash by any means. After all, he pretty much had a perfect game against the Vikings last week. So he at least gives the Eagles a punchers chance in this game. For the Eagles to win this game, they have to keep this game in the teens and low 20s. I just don’t think they are talented enough to do that because they didn’t have to do that when Wentz was the quarterback. So as I see it, the quarterback will the difference of the game. Sometimes simplicity is the key. Tom Brady and Bill Belichick are still the best and they will prove again on Sunday. 6 rings in 17 years; that would be something truly special.

Patriots: 31—20
